About Elizabeth Markie

Helping People Return to Themselves

I help people understand the patterns that shape their inner lives so they can move from reactivity, stress, and self-doubt toward calm, clarity, and authentic connection. I believe meaningful change begins when we learn to understand ourselves with greater honesty, awareness, and compassion.

I work with a wide range of clients — from college students and entrepreneurs to leaders, professionals, and individuals navigating significant life transitions. While their circumstances may differ, many share a common desire: to feel more grounded, more effective, and more fully themselves.

A Practical and Whole-Person Approach

Through coaching that blends neuroscience, mindfulness, and practical tools for everyday stress, I help clients understand the patterns shaping their lives — and gently transform them.

Together, we work with the brain, nervous system, emotions, and deeper self-awareness to create lasting change that is practical, sustainable, and meaningful.

This may look like:

  • reducing stress and anxiety

  • building emotional resilience

  • navigating change with steadiness

  • improving leadership presence

  • breaking old habits and reactive patterns

  • strengthening confidence and clarity

  • reconnecting with purpose

  • creating a healthier way of living and working

What I Offer You

Real-World Experience Meets Human Growth

Before doing this work full-time, I spent more than twenty years in leadership and executive roles in the corporate world. That experience gave me firsthand understanding of performance pressure, competing priorities, leadership responsibility, and the challenge of balancing success with wellbeing.

I have always been deeply curious about how we think, feel, and behave. In 2000, I made the courageous decision to create a life that brought family and professional purpose into greater alignment, and founded my own business centered on coaching, education, and personal development. Since then, I have had the privilege of supporting thousands of individuals and organizations through growth, challenge, and meaningful transformation.

The Tri Brain® Methodology

Blending neuroscience, lived experience, and whole-person development, I created the Tri Brain® Methodology.

This framework centers on the alignment and integration of three centers of intelligence:

Head – clear thinking, perspective, and awareness
Heart – emotional coherence, connection, and resilience
Inner Wisdom – intuition, instinct, and aligned action

When these three centers begin working together, people often experience greater steadiness, confidence, self-trust, and meaningful forward movement.

Where Science and Intuition Meet

I have long been interested in both the measurable and the mysterious dimensions of human growth.

Science gives us valuable tools to understand the brain, behavior, and stress responses. Intuition offers another kind of wisdom — one rooted in insight, timing, meaning, and deeper knowing.

I do not see these as opposing forces. I believe both can support healing, clarity, and transformation.

How I Work

Clients often describe my style as warm, insightful, practical, and deeply grounding.

My role is not to fix anyone.

My role is to help people understand themselves more clearly, shift what no longer serves them, and build a life that feels more aligned with who they truly are.

If You’re Ready for Meaningful Change

Whether you are navigating stress, transition, leadership challenges, anxiety, or the quiet sense that something in your life is ready to change, I would be honored to support you.

Sometimes the most meaningful next step is simply to begin.

Certifications and community involvement

My work is grounded in a lifelong commitment to learning, leadership development, wellbeing, and service.

I hold certifications in Foundations of NeuroLeadership, Brain-Based Coaching through the NeuroLeadership Institute, HeartMath® Resilience Training, Advanced Tilt365 Leadership Coaching, and Leadership Development Coaching with the Sykes College of Business at the University of Tampa. I have also completed Brain Health certification through the Academy of Neuroscience.

In the area of behavior change and emotional wellbeing, I am trained as a Mindfulness-Based Behavior and Habit Change Facilitator for the evidence-based programs Unwinding Anxiety, Eat Right Now, and Craving to Quit, developed by Dr. Jud Brewer.

My broader background includes certification as a 500-hour Yoga Teacher, Level II Reiki Practitioner, and certification in Equine-Assisted Learning, which I now offer as a powerful experiential path for self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth.

Service has always been central to my life and work. I have served as an in-home hospice volunteer and bereavement support counselor, and continue training in end-of-life support as a Death Doula.

I have also been honored to support innovation, education, and entrepreneurship as a TEDx Tampa Bay board member and on-stage host, an Adjunct Professor in the University of South Florida entrepreneurial program, and a mentor and pitch coach for accelerator programs at the University of Tampa and Rowan University.

Today, I divide my time between St. Petersburg, Florida, and the North Carolina foothills, where I continue coaching clients globally and offering equine-assisted experiences.
